This is the 2nd tcase I've seen do this personally. Both trucks it happened to are 2001, both 4.0, both 5spd manual. Mine is geared to 4.88 and 35's and 1354M. His is 4.10 and 35's and 1354E. My buddy's split the trans output shaft in two, mine only cracked. In process of swapping in the rebuilt one as I type. I know when my buddy's did it, he was attempting a burnout. The day mine went was the first time I felt comfortable enough to push the truck to see what it could do after a month long battle getting the new engine running properly.
Is this 'common' or has anyone ever seen this before? MY guess would be a massive amount of shockload?
I've got sticky 35's, 4.88's, aussie locker, stage 2 clutch, traction bars, and a brand spankin' new engine that runs like a raped ape. I guess that's what I get for having grip and power?
