I work for a nation wide company that does insulation/gutters/shelving/shower doors. Our shares have dropped over 50% over the past month.

Yesterday our salesmen were told to work from home for 8 weeks, installers have no idea what's going to happen.

On one hand were expecting to get told to stay home for 8 weeks as well, on the other hand... our company couldn't give two shits about installers so we're half expecting to have to work. Well see!

This is one of those times im feel very fortunate for my line of work. As some know i haul milk straight off a dairy farm, its considered essential as its related to agriculture/food chain.

Its been total business as usual besides a few new regulations at the dairys.

My wife is a vet tech...their still chugging away, im not sure if that would he considered essential or not.

Either way, my heart and thoughts do go out to everyone who is personally affected by this.

Stay strong...we'll get through.

Went to the grocery store this morning... things there are looking more normal. Shelves were pretty much back to pre chaos conditions except bottled water and toilet paper is still out. I think the hoarding phase is dying down.

You cant assign rational thinking to this.... at this point no one "needs" any of this crap. They are just buying it up because everyone else is. Lemmings juming off the cliff together. Add the idiocy that facebook propagates and you end up with people with garages full of water and toilet paper. If facebook told them there was a shortage of pickled pigs feet, people would be lined up to hoard them even though no one eats them.

Just went and got some Italian takeout at one of our regular places. They were busy. They only have a few tables they can't use, so most is takeout anyway. The owner said they are about 25% down on business. He seemed relieved so far and very hopeful.

I went to Walmart with the wife last night, and she was looking at all these items that we usually buy one or two for a week, but instead of 20+ units there were maybe 5 of each on the shelf and she was like "Should I get extra so we have it when we need it?" I just wanted to shout at her, in the middle of the store, that that kind of thinking makes her part of the problem.
