Any Hot Wheels collectors?

These are from a company called Tarmac Works.

They're way more $ than the fanciest HW/MBX offerings (25$ for each) but damn.. the amount of detail is unreal! Just zoom in on the front bumper of the yellow one and take a gander at that microscopic tow hook for example..

The amount of detail alone is worth the price on these super 'premium' models IMO.. but the pedestal/case thing they come packaged in is definitely a huge bonus.. makes the cost of entry much more bearable.

Yeah, I snagged Oliver a Hotwheels Sto-n-go for his birthday. The 1979 version. I grew up with the 1986 version which I actually like better but they are harder to find and more expensive.

This is awesome. I have a cheapo 20$ garage type diorama thing on its way to me from Amazon right now.. 3 sides and a roof with a clear front.. led lights in the "ceiling".. can't wait for it to get here lol.

There's a store called shop164 IIRC that buys these up in bulk and makes the insides look MUCH better, and then re-sells for 40$

There's like 350 different flavors they offer too, much less generic than the ones on Amazon. You can have a Summit garage.. rat fink.. every single different car manufacturer.. falken.. forza..hell.. they even have an onlyfans styled one

They're stackable and the USB powered lights can all be linked together so even if you have 12 dozen of the damn things stacked together all you gotta do is hit the button on one of them to turn them all on.

I only have one die cast (I gave all my "kids" toys to my sister when she had a baby boy - that kid just graduated with his masters last spring).... the one that I have is not a Hotwheel or a Matchbox, it is a 1:18 scale Yat Ming (so roughly it's like 10" long, 4 or 5 wide).
I spent a few minutes this morning hunting for a pic of it in my house, couldn't find it. It (and almost everything else I own) is in storage right now while I bounce around, so you have to survive with the advertisement photo:

My actual truck is green (80's metallic green) but the wheels are close to Ford Meadow Green, and the only model I could find was red.

My one 18th scale is also a nice old ford.. got it for free

Id definitely enjoy having some of the higher end big scale models.. the amount of detail the fancy ones have is absolutely mind blowing.. but so are the prices 500$ for an extremely nice 18th scale.. compared to 25 for 64th.. the most expensive 64th scale models are around 50-75 bucks which is pretty crazy.. but they get even MORE detail in them by casting them with resin rather than metal.

A perfectly scale and sharp looking Lamborghini badge on the back of a matchbox size vehicle is extremely impressive... Resin models are sweet.

Got my cute little garage put together and started filling it up yesterday lol. 2 more f40's currently in transit and planning on ordering another one Friday.. at that point I'll own about half of the f40's offered by TarmacWorks.. once I've collected all of the ones from TW I'm gonna start in on getting the ones offered by Inno64.. most/all of theirs are fitted with LibertyWalk widebody kits and look AWESOME with a bit of JDM flair. Ill eventually buy a few Ferrari themed garages so they feel more at home lol.

This ones the nissank actually, from the same 2nd amphibious special.. toyboata was from the first. I feel like the toyboata would of made for a more amusing model though.. the outboard on that one was wayyyy bigger lol.

Dang, it’s been a long time since I’ve watched any Top Gear and I just kind of assumed that’s what it was. It’s still a sweet score! The Hilux series was my introduction to the show way back when.
