Railman,
I can't wait to see the look on your face when my SAS pulls up sat! And since Ranger SVT has to almost come right to my house to go there anyway he'll probably be in there with me!
RangerSVT and I discussed me taking his and me buying him another set of axles, but not quite complete and we want to go to PAP just to have fun!! I got the coin to drop, he's got the knowledge to do it, not that I wanted to so soon, it'll just have to get replinished with old parts sale to go back into my retirement fund. I'm still good though.
You're just jealous!
Here's some pics of the day!
XJ '90 pinion, WTF?? at some point with a prior owner we figure someone exploded some gear, had XJ factory mark on the ring gear too. Probably when my diff got all the stress cracks!I know it was that damn sheetrock installer.
I'd say I did most of the work today but that'd be an out and out lie. RangerSVT gettin after it all day!
New lift! It made the front as high as the back and it'll have to do till the Dana 44 is in??? Hope the JY ain't out of 'em!! It's a little rough for steering kinda like a locked front end in a turn, but it's up 'ere!
Crappy DANA 35 TTb stuff that'll be on TRS eventually for sale! BUT NOT YET! I ain't got time right now to deal with parts runnin to the dang post! I'll let everyone know!
Anybody got a boat need an anchor?? The Man, the Myth, the Legend RangerSVT Getin 'er done! Ranger of the month guy! Awesome Brother, will really help ya out! Even when ya bring 'em rusted, stress cracked, bolts ain't comin out, studs break off for the shock mount, My jack Ass ordered the standard rotatin ring & pinion for a Reverse rotating assembly, junk to work on!! The decidin factor in "we don't need the crap, let's SAS It"!
Powertrax Lock-rite, it's installed, we ain't taking it out, so it comes matched to the 4.56s, take it or leave it! Them damn springs flat sux!
Oh I almost forgot to mention, I did get to drive 'er today after all was done. Some reason we couldn't push it forward to close the shop. So w/Rangersvt balancing the front end on a block of wood on a floor jack, I climbed my big butt in, fired 'er up and made it about a foot forward! The brakes wasn't working and steering was all up to RangerSVT on the ground. Teamwork gets 'er done! Don't let anyone tell ya ya don't learn anything in the army or on the fire department!
That's the daily update, stay tuned for more of the RangerSVT and Jay'94 insanity show with Almost Complete!!
