We've been getting some bad weather. Seriously wind... rain... thunder and lightning. Big branch broke in the neighbors 100 year old oak last night. Landed right next to my truck... but it did miss it. However it took out a power line so... no power for hours. There is a problem somewhere though. Power flickers and we lose internet. Now internet is just out... on my phone with 5G.

We've had so much ran... the basement is leaking. Just can't get the water away fast enough.

The wife's market of 56 stores that range from Kansas City Missouri to Green Bay Wisconsin... is experiencing lots of power outages and a tornado just went through Bartlett Illinois.

Be careful out there...

We had a real rumbler of a storm come through this afternoon that put down some wind and rain for about an hour but thankfully nothing serious locally. Been a year for storms though it seems

Adjust the new rack on the truck it's a half height rack, like I wanted. Cut off wheel in the grinder and some black spray paint and it's where I want now

My oldest daughter and her husband bought their first house on Tuesday. Been over there doing handy man stuff. I'm proud of them for buckling down and just making it happen. Wasn't the best market to make a home purchase... but they're living the dream. Took the son in law to the tractor supply store to get our electrical supplies. He was a bit shocked when we went around back to the loading dock. We bought them a new self propelled mower for a house warming and their birthdays. Damn thing pops wheelies when you engage the drive. It's faster then I wanna mow... but they're young.

And I just finished mowing my yard with my 20 + year old craftsman mower. Thing just keeps starting...

Tonight I weedeated some thistles in the area I tilled up a few weeks ago, don't need those things... then I decided to attack some trees while it's still burn season for likely only this weekend... got a cottonwood and a couple ash trees trimmed so I can mow around them with the tractor, used the '97 Ranger to take a heaping load of branches to the burn pile... of course they don't want to burn being fresh and all... worst case I'll get it done tomorrow... annoyingly supposed to be like 92 tomorrow, and it rained on Wednesday... no rain and high humidity and the mosquitoes are VERY happy... Oh and one tree I trimmed was infested with some aggressive red ants so that's fun... I was going to burn those but not with those stinky bity bastards...

Tractor show today at a small town festival near me, I grew up near here so of course I hosed down the tractor & loaded up. There’s about 12 here so far, 6 sold new locally (had 2 dealerships here back in the day).

My day so far isn't that cool... Was about to start my burn pile and saw the neighbor pulling tansy so I offered for him to take it to my pile. Today I used the full size weed burner to start the fire with like 4 3' 2x4's, it worked, then threw a pallet on top of that...

After that was pretty much done I went to pulling out a dogwood bush with the tractor, too dry for that so grabbed the F350 which got it on the second attempt...
