a4ld wont come out of drive

I have a 89 ranger with a 2.9 and a a4ld you start it if you hit the pedal in park I can feel it learch forward if I put it in R it will drive forward same thing in N,OD,D,2,1 the oil is full any idea whats causein this? any one have the adjustment specs on the bands? thanks in advanced Ziggy
