what would cause an input shaft to not be able to be puled out when the torque converter is out of the trans?
i unsuccessfully tried to instal my 4.0 today and couldnt because the input shaft wont seat correctly. after some fustrations and research, i realised this, and further tried to fix this by swapping the ends without knowing which end was the correct end to have at the TC.
now i have the wrong end inside the trans, and CANNOT for the life of me get the dang thing back out.
so first, why wont it seat all the way in, and second, how do you get a stuck shaft out, and third, what the hell is keeping it in there?
4th...am i in for pulling the trans to get this fixed? motor and exhaust are already out.
