a4ld dosent like foreward gear

this just randomly popped up on me a little while ago, when the truck is parked and i shift to reverse(it does the customary 2 sec wait then hard slam into gear) and back out of a parking space it dosent want to shift into foreward gear. ill sit there and go between the gears back to park into reverse again back to the drive gears and it will enventually hit drive but can take as much as two or three minutes of shifting back and forth. anybody know whats goin on? always goes into reverse fine(for an a4ld anyway) and shifts fine goin down the road as well

What 'customary 2 sec wait'? I bought mine a little over a year ago and my truck has never done that or any of the other things you mention. Sounds like a fluid passage is clogged. You might try flushing it out and replacing the ATF.

Have you checked the fluid level? Sounds like it may be low.

ill look at the fluid again i guess but i recently changed it and the filter
