A solution to smoked tail lights...

When they are aimed properly it isn't so bad, problem is things change as fair as aiming... especially with a truck or even a car with a couple buddies in the back seat. It seems nobody (including car companies) take that into account anymore.

One of my non-Ranger vehicles is an 02 Chrysler Sebring convertible.

On the European-spec models, there is a motorized headlight aiming mechanism, made so you can adjust headlight height to compensate for loading.

IIRC, it has four positions of adjustement. This was on the 01-06 models. Not sure if it was added to the 07+ or the new 200 model.

Not sure why they only offered it in Europe. Could be required by legislation there, for all I know.

The same car had rear-mounted red "fog" lights in the rear bumper cover for the European market.
