The stock tire iron for replacing a flat looks like it would suffice well.

Sounds like the drunk **** that hit my 79 F150. My front drivers side on his back drivers 1\4panel....he was sideways at 70+ and i was comin about 50. That old F150 stood her ground though, my buddy behind me said all he seen was grand am parts go flyin

I can vouch for those Gen I's being tough. Here's what happened to mine once I lost control on a very loose gravel road going 30mph into a ditch.

I love this truck! It had pretty much NOTHING wrong with it when I got it (paid $500, got this one and a parts ranger '85 2.0L shortbed)

This is the one that I've sworn to fix up.

^^its because they dont have crumple zones, notice the frame on it is still straight or not damaged too bad, the bumper did all the bending. a newer one wouldve crunched up, and that would have been the end of that.

Exactly that!

The left frame rail got bent and it was pushed down under my seat, but the passenger frame rail is still pretty straight.

Though... it does make me want to close up my C-channels from now on.

It didn't do to much to the frame of the truck horns are a bit bent thats an under statement. and it pushed the driver side rail in far enough the gear box snapped off the fuel pump. But i think i how most of my front end to the damn soild steel box tubbed bumper that barely gave
