Well... 1.5yrs.... and then some....

We finally have the Ranger pretty much all back together, except now I need Coils and Shocks. Shocks will be the easy part...

I know that the Spring Compressed needs to be about 15 - 15 1/2"
Its an F150/Bronco type spring.

I was looking at the Superlift 4.5" Lift Springs for an Early Bronco. Drops about 1" / 415lbs.

You guys think this would come down from 20" extended to about 15" Compressed on a 99Ranger, 4x4, with 3.0L V6?

I'm unsure of the front end weight of the ranger and I dont have a way to measure it.

Is the ranger an extended cab? If it is it might compress 2 to 3 inches. If a standard cab it might 1.5 to 2.5 inches.

With a bumper/winch/4.0L/excab my 23" soft ride Skyjackers came down to 20", I'd expect only 2" out of the Superlift coils as they are generally stiffer.

thanks guys. in the meantime i talked to duff.. and have some 5.5 bronco coils here on monday. they are a bit less stiff then the superlift (probably about the same as the skyjackers) so i'll see where it settles. just might have to raise the rear end more :-D

i have the progressive rate coils, 5.5" from early bronco on order from them. they will be here tomorrow. i'm gonna set the ranger on them when i get home from work tomorrow. i'll post and let ya know how it goes.

i had called around to several different places... saginaw truck spring (the only deal with leafs come to find out), then saginaw coil spring... but i would need to provide all needed information to them for those, called up bronco grave yard... but they couldn't help out, they didnt know. so i called up duff..... and we sat on the phone for probably half an hour, discussing what i had.

the 5.5" coil was ordered also in anticipation that a 302 will be going in the ranger and would set the ranger maybe an extra inch high right now until i put in the 302, C6, and NP205.

btw... my ranger is extended cab/4door. i'll post up some pictures later. gotta find the camera... it'll be over in the build section though.
