SAS Ranger on 46s 4X4 connversion pics

more pics!!!!!!

Photo-00671.jpg

this is the only other one i got it was taken on thanksgiving. i dont have any wheeling pics yet because im still on a restricted liscense til like march or april. so far i havent made much more improvements. i had a custom one piece driveshaft made. id have more pics but its freezing outside and hate being out there. plus it is a pit from all the mud and salt on the road.

i did make a custom drop down bumper for the back out of some spare rollcage tubing. i designed it to bolt on so i can take it of when i wheel it or when ever. i can get pictures if anyone is interested. it comes down to 27" so im legal in the back. looks pretty good if you ask me its just primered though. cant decide if i want it red or black

i got it pretty much right on with the 5.38s and the 46s cause the spedo is right on. the only thing is that i cant go over 75 lol. oh well i dont really need to.

my a4ld tranny went out today (big suprise) and with classes starting on monday i am in a hurry to try and get her running again. i wanted to put in a c6 but as far as i know its not possible. im thinking c4/c5 now. i wanted a c6 so bad for when i swapped in the 351 though. if anyone has suggestions let me know.

soon to come is a new used tranny, a good steering stabilizer even though it is alright now it could be more sturdy, and some interior redo. i was gonna do a interior build but looks like that moneys going to the tranny. i was gonna swap door panels and paint everything and a nnew custom headliner

thanks for looking though!

Damn that is a big ranger:icon_surprised:........i like it:icon_thumby:

I am really shocked that the a4ld held up to the 46's........ well for a little while.........and I was worried about running 33's on my explorer.

oh yea i drove on 33 xterrains and 35 toyos and a no slip forever and never had a single drip or slip out of the thing. you would be fine on 33s. i had mine regeared to 4.56 though

i could probably fit 54s if i wanted, i know i can 49s. i wontt even try to go bigger until i have at least a 351 and 2 1/2 rockwells though

Where you at in Plainfield? I am from that side of town. I may have seen you running around town.

I'm looking forward to seeing how long that 44 lasts!

i was right by the 70 exit. i lived on the moon road, the road the prison is on if you know where that is. but i moved out of my parents house to terre haute to go to indiana state university. its seen a few trips to plainfield but im on this restricted liscense crap so i dont like to take it all around town cause cops are everywhere around there lol

haha me too. but i got a good deal on it. it was practically a steal. its 1 tons knuckle out. the weak point is the shafts.

what size tires are on in the halfway pics?
