SAS Ranger on 46s 4X4 connversion pics

I was wondering why you didn't just link it off the get go? :icon_confused:

I'm going to ask this since no one else did.

How the HELL do you get in that thing?

lol i usually put my left arm on the door by the hinge and my left foot on the tire and kinda hop/climp up or i can take like 2 steps back get a running jump. i thought the size would eventually sink in to me but it hasnt

The ring gear would shred into a million pieces, LP OR HP :D

yea the ring gear is weak but that is probably the weakest link. ill swap in a dana 60 when i get the money but for now the dana 44 is just gonna have to do. i have too many other things taking my money, rent, school, transmission, engine swap etc.

That was actually a joke at Kyle M. because he blew his LP EB44 ring gear a few weeks ago. :icon_rofl:

I figured since i was bored at home today id take some pictures of Killer.

Here's how it sits now, blown tranny waiting for some warm weather.

DSCN0634.jpg

front view. i promise when it was first built it a hell of a lot cleaner. this dang indiana weather.see the high steer arm, 9" full size coils.springs look a little curved, its because of the angle of the picture. they are perfectly straight.

DSCN0635.jpg

custom shock mounts and coil buckets they go down and out. vertical with the axles coil mounts.

DSCN0636.jpg

Radius arm drop down brackets with crossmember. the curve was put there just for looks. the brackets are angled out. therefore there is smoothe even movement with the radius arm.

DSCN0639.jpg

this is a hanger for a f150 drop down kit. it could have been bolted on but i went ahead and welded it up there.

DSCN0641.jpg

heres a picture of the 9" extended shackle. you can see a little bit of my drop down bumper for the street. bolts on and off.

DSCN0642.jpg

kinda ackward angle lol. just showing the custom made heavy-duty one piece drive shaft. you also can see the straight pipe i made comes out before the rear tire.and yea my shocks need cleaned BAD

DSCN0643.jpg

rear axle shock crossmember. there an insert for the bumper on there too.

DSCN0644.jpg

just a shot of the rear axle, sterling 10.25. it has stock f150 leafs. yea no axle wrap there. 4" block also.

DSCN0645.jpg

heres a shot of the drop down bumper i welded up from some old roll cage tubing my step dad had sitting around the shop. it still in primer so it looks a little ugly. repping the splash logo also. got the bumpers for the junkyard. mine was produced with the colored ones:bad: yea the ball hitch is useless lol. i havent gotten around to throwing a hitch up there

DSCN0647.jpg

shot of wheels. 16.5x14 weld typhoons with mismatching lug nuts lol. warn manual locking hubs of course..

DSCN0648.jpg

heres the side exit straight pipe i was talking about earlier. nothing fancy. i used to have the exaust coming out right under the cab. i kinda liked it cause it was a lot louder. you could hear me all the way down the road. the pipe muffles the obnoxiousness. but once i lifted it i wanted to hear was was going on down there and when the constant BURRRRRRRRRRR. it was hard.

DSCN0650.jpg

just an interior shot. figured i might as well throw one up. theres some goodies but i wont go into detail unless someone actually cares lol.

DSCN0651.jpg

heres the new dd i went out and got. not a bad deal. 2001 grand am gt. had 144xxx miles. it gets like 30 miles to the gallon. i love it.

some random stuff: i have a heavy duty radiator, 3" bl, and an alarm system. 20% tint, sound system, westin nerf bars that arent on yet, blah blah blah

any questions or anything let me know. thanks

i was right by the 70 exit. i lived on the moon road, the road the prison is on if you know where that is. but i moved out of my parents house to terre haute to go to indiana state university. its seen a few trips to plainfield but im on this restricted liscense crap so i dont like to take it all around town cause cops are everywhere around there lol

Next time there is a IN meet and greet I will let you know. I was the 2nd biggest truck there at stock height. Largest was a double lifted, 3" BL and spindle lift, 04 from the Purdue area.

that thing is BA. Period.

yea lol. mine and his are the exact same height. his has a cool paint job, mines full width so ha lol and it was built. the guy that had it before him went all out and painted almost the entire underneath like white, silver, and blue. its got a narrow width dana 44 and a shortned 9" 5.13 gears. he supposively gets like 12-14 miles a gallon in town too. its leafsprung not sure exactly how much lift he has in it but i do know those boggers on the 15x14 wheels looks sick. the lugs are the size of my fist literally. he sold me his nerf bars for $20. i'll probably put them on in the spring along with the rest of my truck to do list.
