98 Ranger M5OD-R1 Manual Trans Drain/Fill Plug Washers

Welp, I live in a small town that has a Ford dealership that was of no help with a replacement for the factory aluminum fill & drain plug washers for my 98 Ranger manual trans. Their suggestion is to drive 45 miles away to check the next nearest Ford dealer. Not really feeling that but do need to replace them as the drain is definitely allowing a good drip past it. Tried NAPA and Autozone also, and came home with a Dorman copper assortment that has a pretty close fit that might be what I have to go with. Anyone know if there's a Ford part number or otherwise exact fit replacement for these things?

I just changed my fluid a week ago and just reused them, I couldn't find one either

My guess is they just went with the copper washers they got which would work fine. You could also resurface your stock washers, take a piece of glass (pane glass, flat and smooth... like a glass coffee table or something), a piece of fine sandpaper (600 grit?) and something to be somewhat grippy and even pressure (I'm drawing a blank...) then rub the washer around a bit on each side. That should square up the surfaces and help out.

I used washers from the Dorman 66222 Copper Washer Assortment for my transmission drain and fill plugs and they work well. I think that only one washer size from each assortment that fit correctly, so I bought two assortments and used one washer from each assortment.
