97 to 93 dual piston brake upgrade.. new master cylinder?

I'm doing the 97 dual piston new knuckle/rotor upgrade, for my 93 4.0 2wd, and I was probably going to replace the POS Duralast master cylinder with a motor craft one. My question is should I stick with a 93 master cylinder, or change it to the 97 master cylinder so it matches all the other components... The 97 is actually $10 cheaper too. What do you guys think?

If it works ok I would try and see how it behaves with your '93 MC.

That is my plan for putting a '95 D35 in my '85 anyway :dunno:
 
get on one of the parts sites and check the bore diameter of the 2 master cylinders. if they are the same you should be good to go.
 
But do you actually think the newer 97 would be advantageous over a 93?
 
I switched to the two piston brakes at the same time I converted from a 2.9 to a 4.0 AND from 2wd to 4x4...

I believe the master cylinder I'm using is from a 1990
(It WAS 7 years ago... )
 
Alright, well guess the 93 it is. I was only asking because there are some updated sensors (cruise control I think) for newer master cylinders, and the newer one (97) is cheaper.
