so this is the build concept and progress so far

bought this 1997 ranger, 4.0L, 5 speed manual, 4x4, super cab, with 8 inch Big Dick Superlift that was tuned by a suspension specialist, for $1200 with a blown slave.
Basic plan
-35 inch tires
-8.8 explorer rear with power trax locker (already bought on kijiji)
-44 TTB spindles
- manual hubs
- a\c pump convert to air
- bushwacker flares
- olive drab paint spray or rolled (I want touch ups to be easy)
- custom front bumper with 8000lb winch
- custom rear bumper
- nerf bars/sliders
- racks on canopy for kayak

The goal is to be reliable, highway drivable and capable offroader. I would also like a harem of sexy ladies that don't complain :yahoo:

pulled truck into bay at work, removed trans and t case, applied degreaser to bell houseing and back of engine. Passenger side has a oil leak from the head :bawling: oh well fix that later. broke a manifold bolt in the process so I drilled and tapped the hole back to stock size, also tapped the others to clean them out. Installed new rear engine seal as well.
Cleaned underside and painted with undercoating. think it looks pretty sharp! Left drivers side inner frame rail unpainted as all the electrical, fuel and brake line run there. I prefer easy access.

started on the exhaust. welded it to the table and picked up some parts from canadian tire. I was hoping to delete the rear cat/resonator, muffler and gut the first cat for easy flow. first time doing exhaust for this extensive. i plan to have a access to a large military tent from the rear of the truck, so exhaust need to come out the passenger side, but cannot go under the frame rail (as i will end up crushing it offroad, and needs to be where it will not enter into the canopy when idling over night. I may be sleeping in the box at -40C. I plan on a heater from princess auto with coolant lines to keep me warm over night.
Exhaust work took longer then I thought so I will finish within a couple weeks and post pics.
