This dumb thing needs some love... it's not gaining any horsepower the more I ignore it for some reason...
There's something going on cooling wise, heading home yesterday I was about to the top of the mountain pass doing my normal 38mph in 3rd with the temp at the A in normal then it started wagging a letter then suddenly dropped to the O (I'd use numbers if there were any, you all have Ford's...) over about 20 seconds, I thought something was wrong but didn't have a big cloud of coolant and I turned the heater on and it worked so kept going... it must use coolant temp for fueling because I gained a little power after that and was able to hit 4th...
I'm not sure if the thermostat is now stuck open (although then the temp would fluctuate with load I would imagine) or the temp sender died and it went to some default point? Unless it just blew a chunk out of somewhere that was stuck restricting things?
