95 Ranger Timing Belt

My belt broke off while at a stop sign and I took the plastic cover off but now I have no idea how to get the belt off the gears, do I need to take off the Pully gear on the front and remove more unnessery parts?

You basically need to remove the things that are blocking the timing belt cover.
(This list applies to my '94 2.3L. I do not have access to a '95 but they are probably close. YMMV!)

1. loosen 24mm crankshaft bolt
2. remove four bolts holding fan onto the pulley
3. remove two bolts holding fan shroud to radiator
4. carefully pull fan shroud up out of lower clips, push it forward and remove fan/clutch assembly
5. remove fan shroud
6. relieve belt tensioner and remove serpentine belt
7. if you have A/C remove idle pulley
8. remove four bolts on lower serpentine crank pulley and remove pulley
9. remove previously loosened 24mm crank bolt
10.remove thermostat housing
11. remove upper cam cover
12. use puller to remove crankshaft hub
13. 3 bolts holding crankshaft sensor, carefully move sensor out of the way
14. remove crankshaft washer
15. remove broken belt

Once you're done with the above list you just install new belt. Be sure to line up the timing marks and put it back together in reverse order! And if I missed something you'll figure it out. It's not hard, just time consuming.

Good Luck. Take pictures if you plan to do this over the course of a few days.

the crank shaft gets lined up with the keyhole. If the Camshaft is not lining up spin it 360 degrees. The camshaft spins twice for every crankshaft rotation
