I was replacing my engine in my ranger today started putting the new 4.0 in and when i got it almost together i tried to push in clutch so it would release clutch and let it align itself atleast thats how i used to do it on mustangs. anyway i pumped it twice then heard a pop and now ive got noting? will it mess em up pushing the hydraulic clutch pedal with noting really against it? and also when u let the truck set for like a week without being drove u have to pump up the clutch to get anything after that it works great till u let it set for a week or so.

Since this is going unanswered ill throw in my 2 cents no guarantees though. Being a hydraulic system wouldnt it just be like pressing your brakes without the rotors in ? the shoes close and you have to spread them back apart. The clutch goes in and without anything there the hydraulic pins adjust to max. IDK this sounds like one of those stupid problems that have a stupidly difficult fix lol

They send you a clutch alignment tool with majority of clutch kits for a reason. Use it, it works wonders, and it takes maybe 5 seconds to put it in. Chances are what happened if you didn't have everything all the way together is that your slave or master cylinder overextended and you busted something. Just like taking all your rotors off and mashing the brake pedal.

well i didnt put in a new clutch so i dont have a alignment tool but ive bled and bled the stupis thing and still no pressure on pedal and the u can watch the trow out bearing barley move when being pumped
