That looks really good, a little tall for a short course truck though, isnt it?

that's still a sweet truck... i LOVE that color!!!!!!
but i agree with benny? is the height right?

It is in fact a bit tall. I have about 4" of lift and around 8 inches of up travel with 35" tires. I can clear the 35's lock to lock. I also have gobs of ground clearance. I don't know what the rules and regulations are for what you plan to run. I am using a 10" stroke coil over shock. I can move the upper shock mounting to run a 12" stroke shock to allow for some more down travel.. But with stock steering it'll be useless...

These trucks already have a ridiculous roll center.. Raising the COG just makes things worse...

Yea , its kinda turned directions a little as far as short course racing goes, i will enter it and be careful, but more geared toward dual purpose now, gonna do some trails with it also and drive it on the street.

***SO mods if you wanna switch this from prerunner forum that is fine***

What's the plans on a front bumper?

Bumpers will be tube I dont have the pics handy that Im gonna try to copy for the front LOL, kinda waiting to sell some parts from my old purple truck so I can order tube bender from pro Tools so I can continue making progress.

Overally very happy with the truck on the big want list, but need more funds

Deaver rear springs
HID headlight bulbs and clear lights
some aweosme auxiullory front lights on bumper
**I want really good light for all the night driving we do**
Front airbumps
Rear adjustable shocks, with piggybacks

I may have missed it but what series are you going to be racing in? maybe its different out here in az but when we built a short course truck we did a 2" body drop, 1.5" deaver lift springs up front and a low profile progressive deaver pack. we have around 11 to 12 inches of travel and run 32s.

yea this is prolly way diff than what you all have, theres really no rules, and the competition, is just usually stock beater vehicles, like geo trackers, s10 blazers, no rules, otrher than windows down, must have seat belts and good brakes. Its Tuff truck series that runs along side with some figure 8 mini car racing, but it pays well $500 for 1st, won that in stock ranger so should be able to again in this truck.

Rear still way to soft, would like a set of Deavers and some longer, adjustable shocks. Everything kinda on hold till get my house sold or ready to sell.

Once I get to the point of getting Deavers cant decide if need the more expensive race pack or not? When discussing with Deaver sais its good to run when you more weight in back, well, I will have 1 spare tire, rear bumper and I have bronco2 gas tank in rear, is that enough? There will be a bed cage also??

Giving little flex test, mainly gonna run trails at this point, I'm hopping to eventually move to Arizona and then more go fast suspension mods will be needed :)
