94 mazda b2300

also that aluminum color, my buddy painted his track bar, knuckles, diff cover, and something else on his front axle with it. altho it pops real well, after just 300 miles on his new gears, from just the bugs alone it looks like someone put there greasy palms all over it.

yea, i know its not going to stay clean forever. The satisfaction from doing a clean install is worth it, one of those grab a beer and stare at it type of deals. think im going to go with flat black valve colors. i already painted the alt and ac brackets flat black.

swynx thanks for your input.

=], black matches everything.

Got a few more parts blasted.

Also soaked the manifold hardware and EGR tube in evaporust, turned out pretty good. Didn't want to blast and paint the hardware.

surprised you were able to get that egr tube off. ive tried to pull them off like 5 different manifolds and just started messing shit up.

Now that i think about it, it was fairly easy to remove from the manifold. Got lucky i guess. Good thing about California Trucks.

i got this far today, going to blast the timing cover and valve cover tomorrow morning. Going to paint the timing cover aluminum and the valve covers flat black. Should have it sealed up by tomorrow. Started drinking and it was getting hot.:icon_hornsup:

I used Dupli-color Ford blue and aluminum spray paint.

thinking about redoing the freeze plugs just so that they aren't painted. what do you guys think?

Engine looks great!

I've had several of those "helpers" over the years. There's only one decision they are good at making; "Should we go for a ride in the truck?" :icon_thumby:

it looks good! i think it would look cleaner with some shiny freeze plugs, should make the colors really pop.

Top end all sealed up. Waiting for the oil pan gasket so that i can seal up that and the Timing cover, along with the water pump. I'm happy with the way it turned out!!!!:yahoo: Time for some 12 oz curls!!:beer:

started putting all the brackets back on. cleaning them as i go along.

Going to be moving my mazda to my shop where i will be doing the swap, going through a move right now so progress will be slow until that is done. itching to drop it in and drive it again.

Looking really slick!

Great job on that engine. I love seeing someone doing things correctly; media blasting and repainting.
