just bought a really nice 93 ranger 4x4 automatic 4.0

I pulled apart the panel under the steering wheel looking to figure out the shift linkage( fixed it btw...score..) anyways all the gauges DID work...

now ...
battery gauges reads dead
oil pressure gauge reads so high that its over the H
temperature gauge reads so high that its also over the H
gas gauge stuck at 1/4 tank ( did work before)
rpm gauge does not read at all. ( 0 RPM)

truck runs and drives excellent tho....doesn't have a dead battery, doesn't have stupid high oil pressure, doesn't overheat, doesn't have a 1/4 tank in it...haha. and it definitely runs at more than 0 rpms...

let me know what you think..im gunna start playing with testlight in the morning...thanks guys.

***and almost forgot...4x4 quit working...it DOES have something to do with gauges...it worked the other day...***

Check all your connections. Temp/Oil/Fuel reading high is usually a sign of a bad ground (All the dash electronics are trying to ground to the few gauges that are grounded). Check the connect. I would make sure you didn't 1/2 way unplug one of the connectors to the back of the cluster.
