Just had my a/c replaced after five Texas summers without it! Man, what a pleasure!

Well, I have discovered that, though the blower motor is blowing fine, it seems a little weak through the dash vents. When I reached down to the floor vent where heat comes out in cold weather, I feel too much a/c coming out--enough to rob some cold air from up top.

Looking at my Haynes manual, it looks like this model ('93) has cable control to a lever and cam actuating the 'floor/defrost' door.

Is this correct, and can I tighten up that door by going through the glove compartment to the cables and adjusting the draw?

Still trucking at 323,000 miles (same 3.0L.... same everything but tranny)!

try bumping the airbox while moving the dash knob to see if the door might just be stuck....
