92 4.0 swap into 97 Ranger

My Ranger's 4.0 has been making a bit of noise off and on. I've swapped the rockers and pushrods and that helped, but I'm thinking I've got a wrist pin or a piston skirt slapping. Only happens on cold start, only lasts a minute or so. I run Mobil 1, and I've swapped around weights, but nothing seems to help. Done a couple motor flushes too.
I've found a 92 Explorer with a reman 4.0. Will it work in my truck? Will I need to swap intakes, sensors, etc..., or is it a direct bolt in, or will it even bolt in?

I'd say it'll work but you'd probably need to use just the long block and maybe the exhaust manifolds.
