you will have to move the front hanger to install 63's anyway, and if you can do that you should be able to relocate the entire spring set foward if you want to, things like crossmembers, body mounts, gas tank etc will get in the way real fast. you might choose to inboard the springs and put them pretty much wherever.

the 63's are for the rear....the front is going fox 2.0 air shox....maybe the rear too...still designing it in my head..lol

I wish mine was but as far as the flatbed goes... I am juuust starting the frame work.

getting a clutch put in it today.....can't wait to be able to drive it.the slipping clutch was not doing it justis....lol

its a whole new animal....the new clutch works great...still need to bleed out alittle more...and i did not know how much power this thing had.with the slipping clutch it was just ok its a v6....now that the clutch is not slipping but grabbing...i can hit 2nd gear and the truck will go sideways on my dirtroad and chrip the tires nice on hard road up to 3rd gear.
it now has a new clutch, fan clutch,t-stat,carrier bearing and cold air intake.its loud now, took it wheeling and the muffler got ripped off...it was hangin low anyways and i was going to redo it so no biggie...
anyway i am very suprised at this truck...more then i expected.

Glad ya like it!! If you don't shorten the wheelbase, I definitely suggest doing the one piece driveshaft mod, well worth the time and money!!

1 pc driveshaft mod???? i'll have to look into that.and i would like to shorten the wb 8-10".thinking about bachhalfen it...we will see.

14-15" is the common x-cab shortening distance. I'm not sure how much, but I plan to shorten mine as well, I'm thinking it will be about 15, it all depends on how much I can get away with before I get into my cab corner...

kyle m was shortened 10" and looks really good.i will probably run a tire in the 35-37" range....but now i have nother option...i have a 1999 isuzu amigo that the motor just blew in.....how about putting a efi 302 and auto tranny with a 1354 t-case with my full width 9 & d44??? or just transfer all my rangers running gear over to the amigo...4.0 v6,5 spd and above axles...or continue with the ranger build then build the amigo or just junk it...it is a really nice truck.....what do ya'll think?

wow i am bored today... changed the t-stat to a 180 in the ranger....then found some paint...uh oh....now i have a camo engine......

I'd keep the ranger together...I'm not sure about running the ford drivetrain in an amigo, not sure the frame would handle the abuse...I know Ford and how they engineer their frames, I don't know isuzu and I'm not sure it is built as stout as Fords are...Besides, this ain't the Amigo station, its The Ranger Station!! :icon_thumby:
SVT

true it is the ranger station but if i did the amigo it would be ford powered....it will handle the power i have build several mazda pick ups and isuzus with 302 power plants pushing 350+rwhp...the ranger is in pretty bad shape body wise and the frame has some rust...was used as a boat truck for the icw...saltwater!....
as for the frames..they are fully boxed.....the rear is a factory d44...yes in a isuzu... but i would be putting a d44 hp front with 9" "N" case in the rear....but i doubt i will do it...would be an electrical nightmare...all the computer stuff on a 1999...the dash would be my biggest concern, getting it to work right
yes i would rather build the ranger and the plans i have would take care of the rust...+ it would be a ford completely.
i just thought it would be cool to make a full width d44/9 with a 5.0 auto in a little amigo....might be a side project later on...but the ranger will be finished first.still undecided if i want to go auto or keep it a manual...i guess it depends on what it will be used for...dd or off road or both...
