I just swapped disk brakes from a 97 explorer onto my 91. The pads and rotors had no grooves in them but a tad bit of rust. I cleaned everything up the best I could. When I first took it for a ride I can hear the rear pads rubbing the rotors just slightly. This should go away with a little bit of driving right? It doesn't pull or grab, just slight rubbing which sounds to have been caused by a tad bit of rust still left on the rotors or pads. The part that sucks, is that all of the roads are covered in ice right now so I can't get the damn rust to wear off. Just wondering if this is normal for reusing a tad bit rusted rotors.

If it is just surface rust, it will wear away.

Cool, I haven't driven it much since the swap. Will be driving it more today so hopefully I can do a couple of good stops to get rid of the rust.
