89 piece of s$%t

checked oil and it does not have gas in it so i am leaning towards the injectors not being bad

and as far as the blown head gasket it was compression so no coolant ever leaked in the exhaust

Typically 32-42, but I think you would still be OK at your pressures. No it says nothing about the injectors. You can check the resistance of them individually to see if the electronics is good. It should be about 16 ohms. There could be a clog . . but usually when the electrical part is good they are fine.

replaced o2 sensor.no change.replaced plugs again on exhaut side.no change.ran out of daylight to change intake side but doubt there is anything wrong with them:annoyed:running out of parts and ideas:dunno:

gas in oil means the injectors are faulty? Hardly. You need to check the resistance of each one.

what i was saying was if they were leaking after the engine shut off. i know they coud still be bad.going to try and check them tomorrow

What happens most times is the coil inside burns out of they get clogged. That is why I said to test the resistance. Have you run a EEC-IV test?

Ever see a Triton hydrolock itself on fuel?

The point I was making is that just because there is no fuel in the oil does not mean the injectors are good. Typically they die electronically or they get clogged. Mistaken if you decide they are good because you don't smell fuel in oil.

checked injectors.they checked good.swapped in a set i know was good just in case but no change:annoyed:hooked up my vacuum gauge and everything it can check is good.22" of vacuum at idle with no fluctuations

well bought a new fuel pressure gauge because my matco one was old and leaking.hooked it up and key on ignition off i am only ay 10 psi.takes 3 cycles to build to 30 psi and runs 32 psi at idle. after shutting truck off it immeadiately drops to about 5 psi. correct me if i am wrong but does this not indicate a bad fuel pump?i guess just because a part is new doesnt mean it is good.thank you advance auto!!:annoyed:

Well you already checked the pressure with the vacuum off, so I would say the pump is working fine. But somewhere you are bleeding off pressure. It could be the regulator itself or a pressure leak somewhere.

entire fuel system has been repalced or cleaned except for gas cap.new injectors, pressure regulator, fuel filter, and entire fuel pump assembly.[the only part i bought at advance] all other parts are from napa. no external fuel leaks any where.what could be loosing pressure like that?

also my concern on the pump is how many cycles it took just to get to 30 psi when koeo pressure should be 40 psi 1st try

could have some air in it, or a leak? This seems very odd. If all your parts are new you shouldnt have this issue... also, maybe you dislodged some dirt and its sticking the regulator?? I got my pump from advance as well and i have no issues after almost 2 years, and FYI NAPA pumps, are made in my home town at Federal Mougle, there isnt anything fancy or better about them.
