89 mustang 2.3 info

so im looking at a 89 mustang with a 2.3, are these the same as ranger 2.3's? its a non turbo motor; if i get it id really like to build a turbo motor. how would i take a 2.3 non turbo and make it into a 2.3 turbo? what all is involved?
