88 gone wild

Wow here in America it was 4500 bucks max when the program was happening. From the sounds of it, its time to get rid of a few of the vehicles then, part them out or scrap them, your having a hard enough time with just this one.

I hope you drive your truck into the ground before it drives you into the ground.

what vehicles am i spposed to part out? my first 89 is at a scrap yard, my 88 i dd, the exploder isn't just mine and we already paid for an engine so no point scrapping that, and the 88 black betty i "sold" but somehow my uncle hasn't paid me... what a homo.
and the 89 4x4 that i got for free i have no way of getting it home and no place to put it. im gonna maybe tow it to the farm and take a peek, maybe my cousin will buy it off me seein as he wanted the 88.

I would try to see whats causing the blow by on the sploder. Is it burning oil when it runs? I would take a look at the PCV valve or the breather and see if excess oil is getting by them somehow. I saw the video that you made of you starting it up after the engine swap and it sounded good.

no it ran very poor. we have a new donor comin soon. tomorrow is shop cleanup maybe starting up soonprolly fixin my truck or just looking around.
dunno.

I would hate to see you get rid of old blue, even if it is 2wd, its still a ranger.

so tonight its 40 below with wind. -30 or colder without. me and dad drive my truck over to the grocery store, and viola. truck no start-e
so 2 hours later, one dodge caravan and some carnage from me aggresivly showing my truck my feelings via my foot and its driver side fender, and my dads chev and its home. not after freezing my butt off. cash for clunker? haha
nice pic of damage later

Has something to do with the electronic's after it warms up. Heres a crazy thought......get your truck nice and warmed up and then do the samething that you were doing to keep it from starting. Take some gas and spray it into the intake system, and see if it want to start.

Another thing it MIGHT be fuel pump related, had that happen to the family van. I would run then it wouldn't strtr up due to the connector that supplied power went bad, changed that in the winter time, not fun.

Like I said its just a thought.

this is where i kicked it in frustratedness and apperantly someone got crazy with the bondo its like over 1/16th thick almost 1/8th inch. now it looks stupid. effffff

Well if the truck has been in your family the whole time, it might be easy to find out who did the bondo job. Looks like its new fender time. If it was running rich then wouldnt you have noticed your fuel milage drop alot?

So basiclly its giving to much fuel on start-up, which isnt helping an ignition system that needed worked one, and a brand new junk alternator, which hopefully it has a warranty on it. Did they get it started though?
