My credo
Clean your room before you criticise the world.
I recently bought the truck already done so much to it mostly just fixing the stuff from the last guy I put a monster aod trans in it which turned out to be way more work than it was previously intended but got it done fixed the power steering setup quite a bit new pump etc i had to the aerostar steering shaft to make some clearance in there. currently I'm starting a Dana 44 sas swap I'll be posting up that too. but what's already done is a 8 in lift ( also not done right) small block Ford 302 lokar shifter advance adapters aod to borgwanner tcase adapter so I'm starting my build to post up for you guys and maybe help a few folks along the way

I can't figure out what length coil springs I need for the amount of lift I have cause I'm going With the full size EB springs any help on finding out would b great thanks..

EDIT :I recently bought another D44 for parts (brackets etc) and the radius arm brackets were really worn so I'm welding it back solid again to take up the wallered-ness using my little mig and a dremel with a socket as a go-no go guage kinda and a decent pic of my matching 9in and D44 I'm doing both swaps

Just bout got the radius arm brackets done had an over heating issue but went up to summit racing bought a dual core 2 1\2 in thick all aluminum radiator hopefully that should cure it also have a low oil pressure issue working through that as well....not sure why i started this thread no one seems interested but nevertheless I'll keep on maybe this could help some one one day

I'm following it. Just reading what you post. Just haven't had anything to say yet

Well thanks I'll keep it in mind small up date any one know how much 3.5 EB springs will give a ranger I'm lookin at progressive rate springs just not sure what lift size oh and there only like 160$ from James duff

I've followed this through all five posts so far. lol I thought no one was watching my build thread at first too so don't worry. Its a pretty common feeling at first.
Best answer I can give you about the early Bronco springs is to link a couple builds that used them and let you decide for yourself. I believe both use 3.5 springs so if you need more just adjust accordingly.

Neither is a step by step build but both are ripe for idea stealing. :icon_idea:

Thanks prerunner I was actually reading your geniea pig build for awhile there's alot to read lol it was lookin good I'm hoping to get to more prep work on my swap today I'll get a much better pic of the whole truck today for you guys

Thanks man. I think the 93 will get replaced by a 94 this weekend mostly so I can drive again. Then I can get back into it. I wasn't feeling it much anymore.

I like where you're going with yours.

buy a decent length coil and ppi and build the buckets to suit your needs. the longer the spring the more travel potential. but travel is often over rated. too long of a spring causes a host of problems on dual purpose trucks.

generally you need to "cant" the spring seats at one end or another to control bow, so custom buckets usually can solve several issues at once.

theres an array of diy adjustable buckets on the market.

all builds tend to have some unique componants to them...but they are all the same at the same time....covering new ground is rare with this.

Sure thing prerunner get out of that Malibu into a RBV and thanks hopefully get it running g and driving g before winter..

And I'll just go with 3.5 EB springs and just fab up what looks best once I actually tear into it thanks for all the info guys every bit read and considered this is my first rig I ever built so there's alot of gray area

So I have to patch up the project truck and drive it around horrid steering and all cause my DD truck needs tie rod ends and ball joints and a few other things not sure if I should find another one yet or not so I'm sure I'll be finding other things that are wrong on my build truck so I'll post those too as I find em hopefully they aren't too life threatening lol

Latest on the truck just got off the phone with James Duff 450$ later decided to with 5.5 lift springs the sas coil buckets new coil retainers on the Axel should b here Fri I'll post pics when I get em next up is extended radius arms and 7° c bushings selling what I have left for 70s fulsize parts to make it happen but i won't need em now anyway...

Duff has some excellent products, can't go wrong with their stuff.
