hello i am new to this site i am 21 and i have some weird obsession with mazda truck dont know why, maybe my mom droped me as a child. o well.
i have had about 12 mazda trucks and i thing it is about time for a sas swap to one my first attempt went ok, i had to extend the frame to hold the stock toyota spring it was about a 12inch lift over stock, but when it came time for the rear the frame was a little too rotted to take the lift and she gave way.

i am using toyota axles for this project and i am happy with them they keep the 6 bolt patten and are the right with for the truck. but the rebuild was pricey.

oh wait, this is your thread lol SORRY.
if ya need any parts pm me

12 mazdas and your 21? what do you wreck like 3 a year or what? lol

good project - I was looking at toy axles, but the ones I had were like 5" narrower than the waggy axle I used, maybe with wheel spacers they could've worked.

You had to extend the frame for the toy springs?
I have toy springs and my front spring hangers are not even close to the end of the frame, like 3-4" back. that's with stretching the wheelbase 2" forward.
even if you were using toy rear springs, which are like 3" longer, I don't see how you'd need to lengthen the frame:icon_confused:

my toy springs started out looking like that - almost level, but after a year, they are actually in a negative arch, so you might lose some of that lift.
I had an extra spring in my pack also.

anyway, good luck with the build

he streched his wheelbase 2" on the front but ya still had to extend it quite a bit. but it was also seperate from his bumper cause he didnt want to have to undo the suspension to take off the front bumper.

plans have all changed now. hes using chevy springs re-arched 7" out back. and ranger 6" coils and a 4 link up front. i doubt were running a block and may have to run the springs under the rear axle to be able to get long enough shackles to actually use the length of the chevy spings

may that sucks about you taking the clutch out of the mazda not only are they a bitch to get out they are expensive too, i have one sitting in a truck in my drive way that is heading for scrap if you did not live so far away i would say come and remove it and it yours it is a 93 motor as well but the gears are gone in it, only 1st and 2 nd are left in the tranz

i dont know how to do the quite thing yet

i used the stock toyota front spring out of a 83 toyota sr5 but i add 3 leafs just for height, my plan at the begin was height no flex and in a year or so then flex it up but plans changed! the frame extenders not only extended the frame about 6 inchs it mover the leaf mounts 6 inches down so i got a huge life from it. it is not stick out past my bumper and when the stock bumper when on it looked almost stock, not the lift looked stock but the extension looked stock

go back and hit enter between all your pictures. so they are below each other instead of going off the screen

i stopped by while u were at work today and i still think were gonna have to run the spring under the axle. u keep the long shackles so you can actually get the full potential of those leafs and its not retarded high. if we go sping over axle its gonna be taller then the 1st one. and that one fit 40s. all u wanna run was 35s isnt it?

the day was spent moving the rear mount around and welding but the most fun was playing with the jack at the end of the day
