86 gen 1 sas build

I kinda want to do one of those with matching axles to my samurai. Duals and 37s... still would look pretty well stock

The toy isn't staying stock. 4 link rear, 3 link front, propane injected, tube bed, exo cage, and a bunch of other mods. Not going to be a budget friendly build. I won't start it till I am moved. Colorado or New Mexico is the plan.

Great snag on the Yota.... should just flip it for some good $$$ and put the money in the ranger.... LOL

I understand. them Toys are very good offroad. A coworker/buddy of mine has a 86 4runner he did a sas on running 35" tires. The thing is a monster.
he put in a 96 (2RZ) engine and ran it awhile. he just pulled the toyota engine and is putting in a 4.3 chevy v6 and going to run a th350 automatic.
He is selling the toyota 2RZ and manual trans...now that he is going chevy.
He had the hand throttle like you have on his shifter also...said he had enough of shifting etc while offroading.

Good luck in your decision!

The 3.0s arnt the best.. but still. I did one for my buddy last year tubbed out stock hieght 35x15.50 tsls bobbed 14" out of the bed and welded rear. And 4.7 low gears in the tcase...

Dumbass traded it for a seadoo...

Sold the toyota! Made $200 for towing it 15 miles. Not bad but money for the ranger! I'll just stick with what I know.

So after talking with the wife.... I've decided to rebuild what I have. Ill wheel the summer and collect parts, then for winter the front coils are going to the back for the 4 link and the front is getting air shocks. I'll make it a little taller and I'll put to use my 37s collecting dust. I'm losing the bed and tubing it. As long as I don't break this summer i should have all my parts.

MOVING TO ABQ,NM! I'll be there September 8th! Time for some panic packing! I can't wait to wheel some new terrain! Hopefully meet some new people, and enjoy the mountains.

Heck yeah! Congrats man!

Let me know when you get to ABQ, some badass wheeling out here.

I made it to eleven mile resovour and my diesel trans finally gave up. I had to leave it. I ordered a new trans with a stage 3 upgraded to be bullet proof. Hopefully it will be in this week and I'll head back to Colorado and swap the trans on the weekend.
On a better note, we found a house to rent in Rio Rancho, NM. The wife loves her new job. I love this state! I can't wait to start wheeling!

Good to hear things are goin good! Well except for the transmission.
