Hey TRS. I have done a lot of threads but not really a build thread. So here it is! :headbang:

Here she is the day I got it. STOCK. :icon_welder:

The day I got it running and already go in trouble.

Had to reupholster the original seat, switch out the door locks and ignition.

I don't really have any pictures in between these stages but it did come a long way.

Got the original wheels from a junk yard and painted them. On now are 28". Soon to be on there. 35" :D

Got the interior nice (enough).

Got some good speakers in plus a new head unit and a custom sub.

Took it out to see how much flex I could got out of it stock. Not much.

Got some bull bars.

Had to make some spacers to get it to mount up right.

Made a CB radio antenna bracket and CB setup.

Got a hold of some rock sliders and a rear bumper. Had to do a lot to get those on her. :icon_welder: (sorry alil muddy.:icon_thumby:)

So now this is how it sits now since I ran out of money and time for right now. Hopefully going to swap axles and gearing soon to get my 35"s on.

I have never seen a truck in a such a need for bigger tires. Damn. Ha nice start! Btw, that "mud" that's all up in the undercarriage, will fall in your face for the next 5 years!

Agreed... 5 minutes of fun in the mud = 5 years of shit falling in your face every time you crawl under your truck! The truck looks like it's coming along nicely. 35's will definitely help you out. Plan on lifting much more than fitment minimum??

Trust me I would love bigger tires! Its just that the stock gearing will blow up my engine if I don't re gear.
And yeah well im planning on putting full size axles on. I just need to find a real cheap truck to get it from.

mud,

if it's a dd. don't mud it. it'll only kick you in the nuts later. from rust to crud falling in your eyes. I hated doing my transmission swap because of all the crap constantly dropping even from places I was sure that I power washed.
but hey I was a dumb kid that went mudding every month and sometimes left the mud on the truck for a few days while driving around town. :thefinger:

Its kind of a DD. Only really locally. But thanks for the advise! :icon_thumby:

Tinted lights are always a nice touch. Maybe angry eyes while you're at it?

You can't to my knowledge. You can, however, buy the stuff to do it for roughly $10 from O'Reilly auto

They make a spray on tint that you can buy for pretty cheap. I tinted mine.

Well apparently its illegal to tint taillight/side markers in California. So I might layoff on the tail lights for a wile. I already did the side markers.
