Was tweaking around with my 84 BII about 3 months ago, it has a bad carb but would run. I drained the battery and when I went to jump it I had the pos/neg jumper wires crossed. I thought I fried the computer so I switched it with one from a 83 ranger I had. Still no go. Is the a inline fuse link that maybe I fried? I,m new here so any help would be appreciated. It,s in preatty good shape and I need to sell it for my son's tuition this fall. Thank's again.
Try to test the fuse to the computer. You might have done some other damage sence you put the jumper wires on backwards. Also look to see if you blew other fuses and see if you have ignition spark.
