so something wierd happened with my photobucket acount and my links in my original build thread were not working. so ill start from the beginning and add more pics.
Truck when i bought it:
1989 Ford Ranger Supercab
2.9
5-speed
6" suspension lift (sold to beaujt)
3" body lift
35" toyo M/T's
paid 2000 and gave the guy my 1988 jeep cherokee 4x2
first night i brought it home:
Found some goodies underneath that just needed to be hooked up:
some more just for looks:
After a Few months of wheelin, i blew up the mighty 2.9. (cracked the heads) so i decided i wanted to do a FW SAS and a V-8 Conversion.
my dad had an old 79 F-150 in the back, so he gave me the axles for Free.
i got the rear put in (temporarily with blocks)
then i got it sitting on blocks so i could sell the front lift.
The 2.9 Is Gone FOREVER
realized how far my tires stuck out with my new axle and tires so i had to get some fender flares, traded them for the tranny for the 2.9.
I had a few engines to choose from, it was between a 351W and a mildly built 460. I went with the big block
looks a lttle rough but just needs to be cleaned and painted. it used to live in a mud drag truck before i got it.
i have been out of work for a few months, cant find a job anywhere so this project has been on hold for a long time now. so updates will be far apart until i find a job.
some current pics just to show what the stance will be (little taller in the front cause theres no engine in it at the moment)
to answer some questions before theyre asked:
1. no, i havent done anything about the rear blocks yet
2. it is coil sprung
3. tranny is a C-6 with a B&M slapshifter
4. yes, i am workin in the woods. garage is full of other projects
5. this will be my DD. i know its above the lift law but i just dont care!!
