Hello guys I'm rather new, have always read these forums and figured I'd join since I'm on here all the time.
Well here's the problem:
My 4x4 is not working. I got a new transfer case motor last fall and I went to get a new selector switch to see if that was the problem but it still wouldn't do that normal click noise at the CM. the 4 high and 4 low lights turn on when I turn the truck over so I know the CM works. I ended up testing the wires between the CM and the motor and 2 of the wires didn't test right. My mechanic came up with the trouble codes
P1816- Transmission neutral safety switch circuit failure
&
P1867- Transfer case contact plate general circuit failure.
I was wondering if anyone might know what might be wrong before I rip into all those wires under the dash being as I'm not sure how they are ran.
