Putting a MVB 4R in my 91' Ranger. Was wondering if anyone would like to offer suggestions for hooking up a speedometer.

After using autometer electonic speedos I don't bother fooling with the factory stuff. Just follow the instructions, wire the speedo to the VSS output and drive a mile. Super easy and you can recalibrate it when you change gears or tire size.

if thats the only suggestion I guess Ill just save up and redo my cluster with all my guages. and in the mean time Ill just use gps app, lol

I spent a few days looking around and haven't found anywhere someone got a mechanical speedo working with a 4R70W. I think you are going to be stuck going aftermarket.

The only way you will get a mechanical speedo on a 4R70 would be to swap the output shaft and tailhousing from an AOD or swap a cluster and and related electronics from the donor vehicle. For the expense and pain either would be, it would be much easier and cheaper to go aftermarket.

Aftermarket it is. Wanted to keep my stock instrument cluster, oh well :\
