Hello, I'm curious to know if the rare 4DS5 turbo diesel motor is able bolt to the stock ranger transmission that had the 2.8l,2.9L,4.0L ect or what 4x4 transmission there was available for it for those years which was like in 1980's. Thanks!

That the mitsu 2.3 turbodiesel?
It seems like i remember reading it would bolt to the gas 4 cylinder trans...but im not clear by any means.
I think it was an option 85-87 or 8
yes that is the 2.3 mitsu motor im referring too. Just looking to see what 4X4 Tranny bots to it.

tk 4. i had one of those. iirc the bell as long as you have it bolts to the fm145 and 146 as well.

I have a TK5 (came behind 2.8L) and FM145/6 (fairly certain it's a 146 but I'd have to check to verify) to part with. Both have 1350 t-cases on them.
