Yeah, $67,000!

I used to work for a dealership where someone had a car, 2 years old with over 150k on it. He brought it in for an oil change every Saturday morning. I bet that was getting expensive in itself.

I used to work for a shop, and this guy brought his car in for an oil change. I did the normal checks, 80,000 on the original fuel and AIR (!!!!!) filters. It ran a lot better once I replaced those.

Have you ever seen the BMW that never had its oil changed in 60k? *facepalm*

:shok: dont you just love how ignorant and uncaring people are....

i dont know about some people, but i was taught to take care of my things and be grateful for them, even if i dont know anything about it.

i'm on the same page man. even if i didn't know how to maintain my vehicle, i know there are guys who do. and everybody knows about oil changes. the sign are frickin everywhere. lol:icon_rofl:

My wife and I talk about this alot because she comes from a "non oil changing family" if you will. She always says "well, you are a car person. Thats why you know you need to do it. People that aren't, won't change it."

..My opinion? Change it. It bothers me so much when someone doesn't...

It's the absolute best thing you can do to your car. Its your second biggest investment (for some) next to their house. Do you not clean the house when it's dirty or mow it's lawn? Do you take care of your self? Take baths? Brush Teeth?

OK...Rant over..Promise!

Damn, and I thought my 2000+ miles a month lately was a lot!

Interesting that the odo just stopped working and doesn't roll over..

We had a lady come in for new tires on her focus at 72,000km's....I noticed it still had a factory oil filter on it. I asked her about it...she told me with a straight face 'my salesman never told me I need to change the oil in it'.

I managed to drain about a litre of sludge out of it....

wow, that is nuts

that bmw motor actually made me nauseous!

i have a buddy who once got (bought or was given, i forget) a nissan pickup i think it was, that had 200 000km, and had apparently never had an oil change, it was owned by his aunt and she said "i just add oil till the ticking stops"

now me, i just found out i do my oil changes too often in my truck... talked to ford on saturday, they tell me every 8000km, i'm still going to do them every 5000 just because... did my tc on friday too! it was 7000km early, transmission and diffs will be coming up pretty quick when i get the money for synthetic fluids
