My truck is 4x4 if it helps. Im really only using it to commute to high school and do some mudding, not really trails just mud.

Well your gonna have a dire need for a grinder and a couple of wheels for it for getting the factory rivets out of axle pivot and radius arm brackets. Maybe a pair of spring compressors to get the coils in.

USE ANTISIEZE ON EVERYTHING, and be sure to retorque everything after driving it

yah..stock up on a few grinding disc's. a punch helps too. I didnt need a spring compressor to stuff the coils in:icon_thumby: you will also need to re-do the alignment

haha dumb question, whats antisieze and what are the rivots and axle pivots and radius arm bracket, im not fimilar with these things yet. sorry

antisieze is something you put on all the bolts and it will help stop them from rusting togeather and locking up to where if you ever need to take anything off you shouldnt have to fight with the bolts as bad to get them out. The rivits are what the factory used to hold all of the suspension parts to the frame instead of bolts and nuts. The axle pivot brackets are what the 2 pieces of your front rear bolt to that lets it pivot up and down. The radius arm mounts are what the radius arms mount to it should be right behind your front tires on the frame rails they run from the rear back to that spot. When you purchase a new lift you will get drop brackets that will replace all that stuff and you have to grind the rivets out and bolt everything back on. It will be a good learning experience if you are installing the lift yourself find some friends that have already messed around with it before.

I'm in the process of lifting my 96 right now. Definately get some grinding disks! and buddies haha, doing it single handedly just isn't run. Also spray everything with penetrating oil first and let it soak. I broke things and getting them out is not fun if you don't have a bolt head to grip onto. Also you'll need a puller for the drop pitman arm. Which i don't have:sad: haha, but if you read the instructions and look around on your truck its not too complicated.

Haha...my lift was supposed to take two days...but i got angry and quit, then it stormed...its still storming actually. So...my project stretched out again haha.

You'll also need a drop pitman arm and extended brake lines. James Duff has the best price on extended lines.

And i think you would be right, mine appear to be good. Straight as an arrow as opposed to curved and stuff, but they didn't break or anything and thats like fully extended. I haven't messed around with the back yet tho.
