4" tough contry lift instalation

how about a rough country lift? cheaper( i know you get what you pay for) but with what im doin with it it seems logical.

I have the rough country lift. Its all on now and everything. I'd recommend it if you aren not intensely off roading. I got mine from topguncustomz and they had awesome shipping and service, also if you hear anything about holes not lining up...mine lined up perfect.

The one thing I would recommend are some ratchet straps. They make getting the front axle back in much easier if you don't separate it, like I did.

i have the rough country. you will need ext lines. all my holes lined up. but it also took me awhile to put the lift on. you will need to get an alignment after its said an done. to put the coils in. just put the front end all the way to the ground. it'll make is so much easier for ya

I agree with Christo except for the extended brake lines, i left mine stock and no problems. and also with alignment they couldn't get mine aligned perfect just really close haha.

well thank you for the imput hopefully, after next weeks paycheck ill have the cash,

What size tires are you guys running? im going to run 31's because i just put a brand new set on 2k miles ago and im not really wanting to change them? and if you guys have pics of your rides with the lift that would be great as well.

And, sorry haha, does rough country give you everything you need, like shocks and pitman arm?

Now my dad is telling me that the drive shaft wont work? is it true do i need any mod to the drive shaft or will it be fine?

with a 4" you shoul be fine on the driveshaft go any bigger to like say..6" youll need a one piece driveshaft

the two peice lines in the tech library cost about $20 per side and work great.

Rough Country gives you everything, pitman arm, shocks, everything. However it doesn't give you sway bar drop brackets if you plan on keeping your sway bar stock. But those are cheap. And i'm running 33's, but i have a 3 inch bl on top of my 4 inch suspension lift.

where can i find them? and i should be fine with the drive shaft? im afraid of the should haha, what are two piece lines and all

Couldn't tell you about two piece brake lines. And i got my sway bar drop brackets from a member on this forum but im guessing ebay of something. They shouldn't be too hard to find. And you should be fine with stock drive shaft, i am, and from what i read i don't think its a major problem on most trucks.

Got pics of the sway bar drop brackets... probly isnt hard to fab some up im sure.... how much do they drop them?

Ry

sorry, still waiting for them in the mail, i think they drop em a couple inches.
