Anyone know of an alternate location for a 351C Oil Pressure Transducer? I currently have it located behind the intake, but I would like to move it so it is more easily accessible. Any ideas? :icon_hornsup:

There's another port just above the fuel pump. 3/8" pipe plug there. In fact, you can run a pressure line from there, up over the intake and back into the rear port nad equalize the pressure to the rear mains to prevent their being starved from pressure loss in the lifter galleries.

Thank you. That's the info I needed. :D

Does the pressure loss in the lifter galleries occur at all rpm? Is this the oiling problem Clevelands have? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to learn more about this bad a$$ motor.

good idea-i know of the under-the-intake bypass but that is definetly simpler, will have to try it.:icon_cheers:

It's an issue at higher rpms, the Cleveland's main oil gallery is the passengerside lifter gallery, pressure is lost from bleed-off around the lifters. The external line is an easy fix to supply more oil to the rear mains. Run a high volume pump and the external line and you'll have it licked for all but an extreme high performance application.

I'm running a Melling high volume oil pump now. :icon_thumby:

I installed it two years ago when the motor was rebuilt. :yahoo:

Is there a kit available with the line and the hardware?

Not that I know of, I made up one for a 400M a few years ago using hyd hose and AN style fittings
