i would run it like that on road....

get some old 33 for off road adventure.

Will 33s even fit???

If they would, I would look into a trying to find a used set of MTs for a decent price, preferably on a set of rims. That way you can just bolt 'em on when you want to go offroad.

33s will kill your mileage as a DD, best to stick to what you've got sitting under there, and get some MTs for weekend fun. Get an electric impact gun (or air if you've got a compressor) and a set of tires can be changed in under 15 minutes by yourself.

edit - also, you have to factor in your gears to really answer this question... Unless you have 4.10s, I would stick to 31s most likely.

His 3.0 would probably appreciate 4.10's with what he has now...

For that truck with that lift I'd just go 31's. and go with an all terrain. You're daily driving will be much nicer. Grab lame falken wild peaks. Amazing on road, and pretty damn good Offroad to.

do you want to regear?
33's and stock gears suck...well 31's and stock gears ain't great.

If you are looking to replace your tires with bigger ones, and nothing else, I would say 31 ATs, because you dont want to run MTs on a DD, you'll just burn them up on the pavement, plus they have terrible traction on pavement compared to basically anything else.

I DD MTs. Always have always will. I also run Treadwright Guard Dogs so you can afford to DD them. I hate AT tires in anything. I at least like a good M/S rating. 31 in Swampers would be a thousand times better than 33in ATs haha.

LOL. No, they wouldn't. They would be 100 times worse. A good AT will do everything an MT will do, aside from really deep mud.

Only thing you don't get, is the super aggressive look. Which IMO isn't worth having when you DD it. Mud tires suck to DD. plain and simple. If you like the noise, roughness, and like replacing them often, then you are special.

As for the m/s rating, it's a load of crap. I had mud tires that were MS rated and compared to my all terrains, they sucked in snow, rain, anything. Only thing they did better was 1+ foot deep mud. Which my all terrains can still handle, just takes a bit more throttle and skill.

I fully agree with 6.2 and Surrey, I live in the swampy south and I wouldnt consider running a M/T on a DD.

31x10.50 BFG A/T--tried and true, wear like iron and good for anything but sand and deep mud IMO. 33s you are going to need a regear for sure or power will suffer, 31s you can get by on stock gearing.

Don't bother with the BFG's

There are better options than those outdated tires these days. Even BFG knows they're outdated. And working on a new AT.

Is that why my last set was so hard to track down? Lol Maybe I'm just stuck in my ways but I love my bfgs :(

I get it Haha you used em in the past, and they work. So why change right? I used to be like that to. Till the price of the falkens got me to switch. And I'm sure glad I did. Such better tires in every way possible. Especially low traction surfaces. (Wet, icy, snow, mud. Etc)

And yep. New BFG AT's coming soon. But I have already said more than in suppose to lol.
