31s VS 33s TIRES?

I have 32s bfg mts on my stock 95 with no rubbing. My little 2.3 really has no power I'm looking to regear when I do my sas
And mts all the way

I dd a 4.0 explorer on 31" mt's and don't notice much of a difference between the tires that were previously on there, 30" AT. I can hear them if I have the window down but other than that not much of a difference. The Falkens are supposed to be a pretty good AT though.

I DD 285/75/16 10 ply Treadwright Guard Dogs with Kedge Grip Every neighbor I have can differentiate the whine of my tires from any other tire.

I've driven it 12 hrs to Wisconsin. Yeah... You can hear it with the windows up but I enjoy it. My dad gets a migraine from them but he's old and likes ATs.

I have 20k on them and am very sattisfied. They still look new. You just have to figure out your priorities and limitations. I've never been hung up or had any issues towing.

+1 on the Falkens, have them and love them. Last set of tires was the Wild Country XTX Sport mentioned above. They were okay for a cheap AT tire, but after getting these Falkens I'll never go back.

LOL. No, they wouldn't. They would be 100 times worse. A good AT will do everything an MT will do, aside from really deep mud.

Only thing you don't get, is the super aggressive look. Which IMO isn't worth having when you DD it. Mud tires suck to DD. plain and simple. If you like the noise, roughness, and like replacing them often, then you are special.

As for the m/s rating, it's a load of crap. I had mud tires that were MS rated and compared to my all terrains, they sucked in snow, rain, anything. Only thing they did better was 1+ foot deep mud. Which my all terrains can still handle, just takes a bit more throttle and skill.

i do agree with everything you said there
but have to point out i have had great luck with the MT's i had

federal couragia MT, wore fast, but were smooth
and what blew my mind is that these tires, refused to hydroplane,
i purposely tried to get them to and they wouldn't ( they performed better than my summer rain tires i had on my car in rain)
also they were amazing in snow, i was able to do hill climb's with them

my first set of MT, Khumo Road Venture KL71 AMAZING road handling, smooth, again amazing in rain, but absolutely horrible in the snow, needed 4x4 to move
