i was given a motor that I was told was a 302. It has d8oe heads. Anyhow, it was ruined and i had torn it apart years ago. Now, i'm needing valve covers for my e7 heads so pulled the valvecovers from the d8oes...it has a sticker indicating a 1973 351ci. So I looked up gasket part numbrers for a 302 vs a 351 and they are different. As were replacement valvecovers. Question being, will these valve covers fit on the e7s and if so, which valve cover gaskets should i grab? if they will work, what is the difference between these and 302 valve covers?

iirc a windsor valve cover will swap on another windsor weather 289,302 or 351

There is no difference between 302 and 351W valve covers. Same for both.
