So I'm going to be replacing the head gaskets on my daily driver this weekend. Helped a friend with his before so luckily not going in blind.

Did have a question about the bolt size though. For the life of me I cannot find a reference online to the diameter or TPI of the head bolts themselves. Only asking as I'd like to get in there with a tap and clean out the interior threads once everything is apart. As this is my primary form of transportation I'll be a little stuck at that moment and would like to have everything ahead of time...

Any help would be appreciated on this, thanks!

I'm not sure on the thread pitch, but the head bolts are torque to yield. that means they cannot be reused and need replaced.
for July '98 build date and newer.

Since you need to replace your head bolts anyway just open the box of new ones and get your size and pitch from that.
