2WD Budget Build......

the trucks looks good! better then it did in the parking lot at tech! lol i like the lift too! did you ever get your brake lines fixed? i used 4wd 91-94 explorer front brake lines. they bolt right up and are about 2 inches longer then factory so they fit perfect with the washer lift!

my 90 is coming good. just don't have a computer tune for it yet. it seams no companies want to work with a 2.9 still using speed density...

here is a link to a thread with pic and a youtube link.

ill be honest though. every time i seen your truck i wanted it. mmm 4.0 5 speed 2wd. how perfect

You found my build thread. Sweet. You going to try to convert that 2.9 to a MAF system then? I think that would be a lot easier than to try working with speed density. Or you could go Megasquirt. You got that 'Yota front end on that Ranger yet?

Forgot to update on mine, I did find some oil leaks but I am not sure on the source of one of the leaks. I am pretty sure my rear main seal is getting worse however, I can see oil on the ground almost everywhere I go. I am also planning on taking my truck to school to do some body work on it as long as I can find a bed free of structural rust and also need to order a core support and driver's side cab corner.

Hey When you get ready to install those 31's....
Ford does make the speedo gears. when I put on my 30 in tires, I just went to the ford dealer with the part number and they brought right out, it was only $4 too! :icon_thumby:

31's probably won'e be for awhile. I'll probably get 235's before that. If I do get 31's though, I'll just re-gear the axle.

yeah, i love my 235's fill out the wheel well nicely but if you bigger, defiantly have to re gear. at least in my 3.0. maybe not in your 4l

Well I figure, I already have 215/75/15 on it now, a tire that is about 1-1.5" taller shouldn't make that much of a difference. And 4.0's aren't short on power either so it should work out pretty good.

my little brother has a 4l pisses me off. makes mine feel like a minivan, like a dodge caravan kind of minivan.
