i really need to level my truck. iv read that after you put spacers or washers in you have to put in adjustable camber bushings and get it aligned. iv heard some guys talking about $260 for an alignment after the leveling kit was aligned? do yo have to get new bushings and how hard are to install? if i were to do this i would have like 75dollars total.

The adjustable camber bushings are a must. I really couldn't tell you about the alignment, I did that myself at school. Bushings are really easy to install, unbolt the bolt holding in the top ball joint, and pull out the bushing, install the new one. You may have to spread the knuckle apart to get the old factory bushing out. If that doesn't work, you may have to use a 2 jaw puller to pull out the factory bushing.

Guess what guys, I found the color that I'm going to paint my truck eventually:

Bermuda Blue Metallic, RPO code 26U. Got the code off a 2005 Chevorlet Tahoe.

It's going be this or some kind of pearl in my cleacoat with the Dark Lapis Metallic (my factory color).

Also installed the free stereo that I got for free. Will get pics up soon. Also doing research on how to wire up an aux input cable for the stereo. Stay tuned.

I found out today that I have a fuel leak. Seems like the supply line, 'cause my truck now has a slightly extended crank after sitting for a while. This sucks. :annoyed: If I get time tomorrow, I'll be ripping the bed off to see if I can see anything. If not, I guess I'll have more room to free up my fuel tank strap bolts.

And I still haven't posted my new radio pics either. I guess I'll have to do that soon.

So how is the truck doing? Did you find/fix your fuel leak? Any other plans for your truck?

Hehe. I got the fuel leak fixed, had to do it twice. First time I put in a new fuel pump, it was leaking at the connection to the supply line. I also put in new ends on the lines that connect to the sending unit. The second time was when I found out that my supply line was leaking again, this time I used a small length of fuel injection hose and fuel injection clamps and fixed the leak that way.

As of right now, I am looking at lifting my truck more, either with a 2in body lift or a suspension lift. But if I decide on a body lift, I have to fix my rad. core support because where it mounts to the frame, it's all rotted out. And I need new body mounts too.

Truck looks great. Glad to see you finally got the lift.

hey man. saw on a page or so ago you were talking about getting the rough country lift. I strongly recommend it! I also have a 2wd (86 ranger) and I bought my 4 inch suspension RC lift off of ebay for 400 bucks, only hard thing I ran into was grinding/wacking some of those rivits out of the crossmember/frame for new bolts that come in the kit. Comes with everything but extended brake lines

You running longer brake lines?

on the 4 inch lift he probably needs to.. may not have to, but needs to. lol

i just took a piece of flat metal and moved the mounting hole by the coil spring down, and used my factory brake lines.

Hey 4.0B2, you have a pic of how you did your brake lines? I would like to try something like you described to get more from my brake lines because of my leveling kit. And not only that, I will already have more line for a future lift kit.

Whats next? Where is the stereo pictures? the lift ever happen? Ditch the wally world specials?
