TRS has decided to move our presence from the Truck Nationals to the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA.
The 2025 event is on June 6-8, 2025.

The Carlisle Fairgrounds is just off the PA Turnpike near Harrisburg.

Friday and Saturday are the big days, very few people stay for Sunday.

Registration:

This is important, in the online registration you MUST go to the drop-down for clubs and select The Ranger Station as your club. This fine for any RBV, Explorers, Bronco II's, Sport Tracs. If you register by phone, tell them you are with The Ranger Station.

There is no additional cost for registering as a member of The Ranger Station. We need at least 15 people to register so we can get the club tent from Carlisle.

Carlisle gives a discount for early registration until about mid-April. Register in the proper Ranger class, there is one for 1982-2011 and one for 2019-2025.

Camping and Hotels:

There are many hotels nearby although they charge more on event weekends. Information is on Carlisle's website. Carlisle offers camping two blocks away at additional cost. Last year it was $65 for Thursday thru Sunday. Add that on your registration and they will send you an extra sticker for the campground. It is fine for tents and trailers but does not have facilities other than porta johns. There is a bathhouse inside the fairgrounds at the car wash area. Personally I do the Fairgrounds camping.

There is a full service campground nine miles straight down the road called the Deer Run Campground. We have stayed there for the Truck Nationals.

If your rig is trailered they offer a trailer parking area at a small additional cost.

Other:

This isn't just for trucks. It's for ALL Fords!

Besides Fords of all kinds, there is a huge area for parts and accessories vendors.

Monster truck rides and Vaughn Gitten Jr. from RTR Motorsports is usually there doing a drifting exhibition.
Restoration and parts houses doing displays and workshops.

Sponsor midway where you can look at and buy wheels, tires, exhaust, tunes, car wax, etc.

That also sounds like a lot of enjoyment.
But sorry to say once again I will not be able to attend.
I do hope that at least 50 TRS members do attend however.

The Deer Run Campground is a pretty nice campground but the catch is you have to deal with traffic while driving through the entire town to get to the fairgrounds. If you time it right, isn't too bad but the height of big city rush hour traffic if you don't.

I won't be able to make it this year but I'm thinking of registering anyway just to get the membership number up. The Club Tent is a big deal since it gives a place for people to meet, hang out, park if they register for the field, and leave their stuff. It was real handy for staying out of the rain last year.

Also the Ford Nationals has twice as many people as the Truck Nationals so the traffic will be twice as bad. Deer Run is a perfectly fine campground but if you stay there plan on getting an early start, no later than 7:00 am. They do have cabins available with air conditioning. I tent it at the Fairgrounds camping area two blocks away with the usual classic Ford dudes I hang with. The porta johns there and the bath houses at the Fairgrounds are well-maintained.
The many hotels are on the road between the PA Turnpike and the Fairgrounds. Since it's near the state capitol there are many other hotels in the area. If you want a hotel make your reservation soon although a lot of people who live a few hours away just drive in and out on Saturday only.

Your host is registered.
As promised, The Ranger Station is a listed club. There is no additional cost. Just click the drop-down for clubs and scroll down to the T's for The Ranger Station.
Showfield is $70 but there is a 10% discount for early registration.
Camping down the street from the Fairgrounds is $75 for the whole weekend. Or there are hotels nearby.
I clicked on the $1 donation to the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation since my dad died from amyloidosis.

I just signed up The Road Ranger this morning for the Carlisle Ford Nationals. My plan is to drive up on Thursday, and leave on Sunday.
I also signed up for the Ford Parade on Saturday night. The first four or five of you who want to ride on the back, first come first served.

Inspired by all you guys, I’m going to use the Carlisle campgrounds. I haven’t camped since I was like 15 years old, so I don’t have any of the gear anymore. I’m going to have to buy a tent, air mattress, and sleeping bag. I plan on just setting it up on the back of the truck.

I found this tent online pretty cheap, but I don’t know what I would use the tunnels for. They won’t separate them out. Maybe Lincoln could play with that.

I do like the Velcro feature on those tunnels, however.

If you end up stopping here to pick up those headers for delivery, I could give you a tent. This 2 person one should fit on your trailer. Or I have a similar 3-4 person one (older and more heavily used).

but I can’t have it if I don’t pick up the headers and deliver them 1000 miles?

Joking, all donations graciously appreciated. And don’t for a second think that I don’t trust you, I do. The one catch 22 is I like to be prepared and organized in advance. I looked online, and no more than they cost for a little one, I’ll probably just grab one. I’d like to make sure whatever I have will tie down to my side rails so I don’t have to go to the ground.

But thank you, I’ll still grab the headers. I’ll just have to think of an appropriate fee…

Rick W,
If I can make a suggestion when you buy your tent or get a new tent or whatever you do,
make sure to get some weather treatment for it as well.
They make a liquid that you apply to it and once it dries it makes it a lot harder for rain to get through.
You'll have to be able to set it up somewhere to apply the coat of the liquid beforehand to give it time to dry and set up.
Sorry I don't remember exactly what it's called.
I hope you find this helpful if not sorry to bother you.

all good. They say there are no dumb questions, but I tend to prove that wrong on a regular basis. But good answers are hard to come by.

@JohnnyO I ordered a white blank banner to make a TRS banner to give to you next month. Here's a pic of the one we used for events in the early 2000's that became the first TRS Banner Across America. Probably change the tag line to 'Your Ultimate Ford Ranger Resource Since 1999'.

I think this time I'll put 'Welcome Ford Enthusiasts' on the bottom with Ranger, Bronco II, Explorer and Mazda B-Series to the right.

Sounds great. I would maybe drop the ‘s and just have:

Ranger
Bronco II
Explorer
Mazda B series

Maybe, w/resource, some defining words in small font:

maintenance, modification, methods, chat, events

You’d probably know best what the Buzz worth should be, “resource“ to someone like me who doesn’t think like a lot of you guys do, would automatically make me imagine all the different things that were on the website.

As always, my two cents, hope it helps

I'm going to add a QR code so people can scan it and go straight to the website.

Just thinking out loud...

Maybe when they scan the code you send them to this with a caption... For a Good Time Call...
