Did you guys hear that in the new year ford will release an slight update to the ranger. No changes execpt the sport model will be made available with an optional 2.0 ecoboost engine and will go for about 23K

Seems like a silly thing to do to a vehicle slated to be dead in a year's time. Got a link?

Maybe there's continuing production for a few years to commercial buyers only (they order a lot of 4-bangers), like the Crown Vic's.

It aint going to happen in the US. I wish these rumors would just die! The plant is still closing so where would it be built, see any new Ford plants being converted? Looks like end of Dec the doors are closing.

Edit: The Ranger can now join the Crown Vic that is also out of production due to low sales.
